Queensland Drilling Services currently has the following employment positions available.

QDS is seeking to employ experienced drillers to support both our water drilling and mineral exploration operations throughout
this great nation.

Licensed Water Well Drillers Class 1, 2 or 3
Keen and safety conscious persons who hold current water well drillers licenses, or have experience in water well drilling. Our crews generally work 21 days on and 8 days off. As working sites are generally in remote areas, all workers are accommodated and supplied with meals during the period of their hitch. Travel days are included as part of the work days

Experienced HQ Diamond Drillers
QDS has now extended our operations into the mineral sector; as such we are seeking to locate persons who have substantial experience in mineral exploration drilling (HQ Diamond), and have worked in the mining sector. Applicants must be very safety conscious and be able to meet all the standards required for the mining sector.

Experienced Gas Drillers (Coal Bed Methane)
QDS has now extended our operations into gas drilling operations as such we are seeking to locate persons who have substantial experience in Gas drilling for coal bed methane. Applicants must be very safety conscious and be able to meet all the standards required for the mining sector. All applicants should possess a current B.O.P Ticket, Coal Board Generic Inductions, Senior First Aid and Coal Board Medical.

Lease Hands / Roughnecks
As drilling operations are very demanding we are seeking to employ people who not scared of hard work, happy to work 12 hour days. Lease hands & roughnecks are assigned to an operational rig and work the roster associated with that drilling operation. Workers must hold a current drivers license, preferably Heavy Rigid (HR), Heavy Combination (HC) or Road Train (MC).

Camp Cook
The Camp cook, one of the most important members of a working team. In QDS we have a couple of operations with ten (10) workers and we require cooks to support these teams. With our operations being in remote areas, kitchen facilities are limited. Cook must have a good nature and have sufficient cooking experience to continually cater for hungry workers.
